The Fender Telecaster remains one of the most popular electric guitars of all time, and classic models from the 50's are till some of the most highly regarded of all. The Fender Vintage Reissue "52 Hot Rod Telecaster attempts to capture that tone and feel of one of these 50's instruments with some 'hot rodded' features.
The pickups in this guitar are a custom vintage telecaster pickup in the bridge, and a Seymour Duncan mini humbucker in the neck, ideal for smooth overdriven leads or crunchy rhythm playing. The combination of these two pickup types gives a wide range of available tones. Additional features include a nitrocellulose lacquer finish and a generously sized U-shaped neck profile. Elsewhere, the vintage style telecaster bridge with brass saddles ensures that the guitar has the characteristic 'spank' that the Telecaster is renowned for.
The body and headstock shows some wear and some marks in the body wood from use by the previous owner and the black pickguard also shows that the guitar has been played and gigged. The guitar still sounds and plays flawlessly however.
